1. Acceptance
By using thebiglearn.org (“The Big Learn”, “TBL”, “we”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
The Big Learn is a free, independent project maintained by João Ricardo Dutra. It offers learning paths, lessons, articles and developer tools. No account is required and no payment is ever requested. We may change, add or remove content and tools at any time.
3. Educational content
Lessons and articles are provided for learning and general information. They are not professional, legal or security advice for your specific situation, and they may contain errors or become outdated. Check important decisions against official documentation.
Certification study material (for example Microsoft Azure exams) is independent: The Big Learn is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by the companies that own those certifications. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify the products being discussed.
4. Using the tools
- Most tools process your data locally, in your browser. Some features download models or libraries from third parties (for example Hugging Face) the first time you use them.
- You are responsible for the data you process and for checking the results before relying on them, especially certificates, keys, tokens and generated files.
- Do not use the site or its tools for unlawful purposes, to infringe the rights of others, or to disrupt the service (for example automated abuse or attacks).
- Generated test data (such as test certificates or document numbers) is for development and testing only.
5. Intellectual property
The source code of the site is available under the MIT License in the project repository. The texts, diagrams and images of the lessons and articles are © João Ricardo Dutra unless otherwise noted. You may quote short excerpts with a link to the original page.
Third-party libraries and AI models used by the tools keep their own licenses; each tool links to the relevant license where it applies.
6. Search engines and AI
Our robots.txt declares how the content may be used: search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=yes. Search engines may index it, AI assistants may use it to answer questions, and it may be used to train AI models. Please link back to the source page when you cite it. Agent-friendly versions are listed in llms.txt.
7. No warranty
The site, its content and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or availability.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the site, its content or its tools, including loss of data or profits.
9. Privacy
How we handle data is described in the privacy and cookie policies on the About page.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Questions about these terms: contact@thebiglearn.org or the contact page.
